NetBeans: Download & Install NetBeans On Windows

The famous NetBeans is an open-source integrated development environment (IDE) that developers can use to develop applications from a set of software components called modules You can run it on Windows, Linux, Solaris, and Mac. It is used for Java development and has extensions for other languages. E.g., C++, HTML5, and JavaScript. Today, In this tutorial, I will demonstrate to you how to download & install NetBeans on Windows OS specifically, I am installing it on Windows 8.1. So let’s start

First of all you need to install pre-requisites for NetBeans and that is JDK (Java Development Kit).

Installation Procedure For JDK:

Step 1: Download JDK from the link mentioned below.

Step 2: Double click on the JDK setup to install the java development kit on your system.

Step 3: A dialog box will appear. Now click on YES will start installing the jdk.

Step 4: After setup is configuring the installer i.e. a progress bar will complete, and a dialog box will appear. You need to click on Next.

Step 5: A dialog box will appear from where you can choose the installation directory. By default, it is going to install on C:\Program Files. Choose your desired directory and then click Next.

Step 6: Another dialog box will appear to confirm the installation directory. You can change your desired directory for JDK installation and then click Next.

Step 7: From this dialog box, you need to click on Install Button, and the installation process will begin.

Step 8: When Installation completes successfully below dialog will appear, and you need to go ahead and click on Finish.

Installation Procedure For NetBeans:

1: After the download completes, go ahead and double click the setup of NetBeans.

2:  A dialog will appear from where you need to click on Next.

3: A welcome dialog will show up to give you installation Size. To continue with installation, you need to click on Next.

4: After that, an agreement dialog goes open two time and you need to hit checkbox and click Next both the times.

5: From this dialog, please choose the installation directory for NetBeans and JDK for NetBeans IDE.

6: Click on Install, and it will start installation process on your system.

7: After installation completes successfully, a dialog will appear from where you hit Finish button. Congratulations! Now you can use NetBeans for development.
