In this tutorial, we will find out how to import LTPA keys in the WebSphere Application Server. Lightweight third-party authentication (LTPA) is an IBM protocol that provides cookie-based or binary security token-based solutions to support single sign-on (SSO) environments. IBM WebSphere and other products use LTPA to allow single sign-on. When LTPA is enabled, you can log in to a WebSphere Server, and when you access other WebSphere servers, it will not ask you to enter credentials. You can log in to Domino first, and then when you access other WebSphere or Domino servers participating in SSO, it will not prompt you to log in.
Steps To Import LTPA Keys:
- Browse to the WebSphere Application Server(WAS) console (IBM console) and log in together with your user name and password.
- In the middle left of the screen, click on Security. After that, click on Global Security and then click on the LTPA radio button link.
- In the cross-cell single sign-on section, type password within the respective fields that you already entered while exporting keys from the first/primary server.
- Enter the key file name in the field and click on Import keys.
- Click on Apply and then click on OK.
- Save the configurations, sync node agents, and Restart WAS so that changes will take effect.
